Paresh Dave joined the Times in spring 2013 after graduating from the University of Southern California.
He has covered technology start-ups, cybersecurity, sports business, breaking national news and the criminal courts. He's helped cover major events including Black Friday, the Los Angeles Auto Show, the Los Angeles Times Travel Show and the Tournament of Roses Parade and college football game.
During college, he spent nearly all of his time leading USC Annenberg's student-run online news publication Neon Tommy. As a reporter, news editor, deputy editor, co-editor-in-chief and finally executive director of one of the nation's most-visited college websites, Dave prioritized, assigned and edited stories in addition to writing several articles each week.
Dave spent summers interning at the Sacramento Bee Capitol Bureau and the San Francisco Chronicle's business desk. At the Chronicle, Dave covered breaking stories, up-and-coming products and controversies. He also spent a spring break reporting in Dublin and Belfast.
Through it all, baseball has been a big part of Dave's life. He's watched a ballgame in each of the 30 Major League Baseball cities.
